In the early days of my journey in the software technology industry, I was curious about everything around me — the environment, the trends, and the future.

If you ask me how I knew about the trends back then, here’s some proof:

  1. I spent about 4 hours a day on the internet during weekdays, and 6–8 hours on Saturdays and Sundays. I paid 2,000–6,000 riels per hour at internet cafés.
  2. I regularly read local tech magazines in print, and international news through Firefox and Internet Explorer.
  3. I was a talkative person with many friends, and I enjoyed discussing technology with anyone who shared the same passion.
  4. Beyond just reading magazines and news, I liked listening to seniors who were willing to share their knowledge. I loved to both listen and speak out.
