Thailand’s Actions Against Cambodia in July 2025

Thailand has made repeated attempts to invade Cambodia for various strategic and political reasons, including:
- To seize historically significant temples such as Ta Krabey, Ta Muen Toch, Ta Muen Thom, and Preah Vihear.
- To divert attention from internal political turmoil in Thailand.
- To exploit natural resources located beneath and around the Dângrêk mountain range.
- To send a message to Cambodian leaders as a demonstration of Thai military strength.
- Due to the strategic importance of the natural border shared by Cambodia and Thailand.
- To allow the current Thai king—whose reign has faced low public support—to assert the power of the monarchy through military influence.
- To test military capabilities against a smaller neighboring country like Cambodia and send this message to neight countries such as Laos, Burma, and Malaysia
I deeply appreciate our Khmer/Cambodian soldiers for their strong and honorable defense. Thanks to their bravery, these lands still rightfully belong to Cambodia.
